A trip to God's own country.. :)

Wow!!! What a week it was. Can't remember the last time when I took a break for a week away from work, and such a refreshing one at that!!! And the place I visited? Kerala - God's own country. I know, I should be ashamed of the fact that in spite of belonging to the same state, I haven't been to all the great destinations Kerala has to offer. Well, I certainly made some amends last week. :) Stayed in Guruvayur for 2 days. There are many temples here, the most notable one being - The Guruvayur Temple. It is a sight to behold. The temple is asthetically very beautiful and is well equipped to manage the lakhs of devotees who visit it everyday. The deity here is Lord Shree Krishna - Guruvayurappan (the Lord of Guruvayur). The temple is a beautiful one and one just can't help avoid the beautiful feeling of being close to a supreme power, when you reach this place. This temple has a great history and has been a haven of faith for the people of Kerala for many generations. Sta

Keep smiling and keep going.. :)

The last few days have been quite demanding personally as well as professionally. Couldn't get much time to practice my guitar and work pressures have increased too. It's when things get hectic as this, that the "pessimistic philosopher" side of you starts working overtime. :) A few days back, I was just going through the newspaper and I happened to read about the heat wave that has taken Kerala by surprise, the surprising fact being that peak summer is yet to arrive. The temperature has already reached 43 degrees and people are finding it difficult to cope up with it. The farmers are fighting hard to save their crops and cope up with such extreme temperature at the same time. The same day I happened to visit my social networking profile and saw many photographs of beautiful places in Europe and US, posted by few of my friends who have been abroad from some time now. The world's a beautiful place. And it's been my long time ambition to visit all the beautiful

I love to be impulsive. It adds that extra zing to life. So this year, wasn't much different too. I watched some really inspirational movies recently (impulsively, off course). And boy, did it have any impact on me? Hell yeah!!! :) This morning, I just finished watching a movie called "Supersize me". It's kind of a documentary type movie, wherein an American guy with "above-average" health eats junk food for one complete month, and the proceedings capture all the ill-effects it has on his health. The fat he gains, the damage to his liver, heart, moods, overall well-being etc. I really recommend this movie to you, if you haven't watched it already. You'll start seeing Mc. Donald visits in a completely different light altogether, once you see how bad junk food ca
